Day 7: Favorite Promotion
I have to admit, I do love the UFC since it’s brought together Pride FC, WEC, and Strikeforce under one banner — which allow us to see some of the best fights in MMA. With that said, I still have a place in my heart for Pride FC. It was that group of fighters during that span of time which created one of the best MMA promotions of all-time. If you thought UFC 129 at 55K attendance was big, Pride FC have held the two largest MMA events of all-time at 70K and 67K in Japan.

Aside from the numbers, the fighters were the ones that made this promotion great. This was during the times MMA was still a bit unknown and fighters weren’t getting paid they were now. These fighters were fighting for honor and pride — you can see it in the video above.

I’ve always wanted to post this video, so if “Passion” from Machinemen doesn’t get you excited about MMA — I don’t know what will.
