5 Great MMA Photos at UFC 136: Edgar vs. Maynard III from Esther Lin

Billed as one of the most stacked cards of 2011, all of the fighters came out and proved the promoters right. If you wanted grueling fights, you got that with Leonard Garcia vs. Nam Phan. If you wanted submissions, you got that with Joe Lauzon and Chael Sonnen. If you wanted charisma, you got that and then some with Sonnen’s post-fight interview. If you wanted to see what legends are made of, you got that with Frankie Edgar vs. Gray Maynard. Another great card, and now a break until UFC 137.

Weigh-In Photos for UFC 136: Edgar vs. Maynard III

To get back into the swing of things, what better to do it with UFC 136: Edgar vs. Maynard III. Not only do you have a rubber match with two solid Lightweights, we’re treated with another championship fight with Jose Aldo and a Middleweight contenders match with Chael Sonnen and Brian Stann. This card is sick, and I’m looking forward to seeing how it all turns out.

Frankie Edgar’s Entrance Song

I love this song for Frankie. For one of the smallest Lightweights, coming out to Biggie is awesome!

how would you rank the UFC champions from least likely to lose their title TO most likely? my opinion on it is...

1. Jose Aldo
2. George St. Pierre
3. Cain Velasquez
4. Anderson Silva
5. Frankie Edgar
6. Shogun Rua
7. Dominick Cruz

...as you can tell, I have Shogun lower on the list simply cause I think his fight with Rashad isn't too favorable. I think Rashad is gonna wrestle him into a decision. Also think Aldo's competitors are way too inferior to give him a real challenge, hence why I believe he's most likely to hold his belt for a long time. where would you rank 'emm?

Here’s my list of the fighters less likely to lose their UFC titles this year:

1. Georges St. Pierre

The only person that stand before him and the Middleweight Division is Jake Shields. He’ll have cleaned out that entire division if he wins that fight.

2. Jose Aldo

He’s a beast. Nuff said.

3. Dominick Cruz

Nobody knows about this guy because he’s overshadowed by the brilliance of Jose Aldo while in the UFC, and he’s just never gotten a lot of spotlight. All I got to say is how can you face a guy you can’t hit and has a unique striking style matched with high class wrestling. He’s good.

4. Anderson Silva

After Vitor Belfort, he’s got possible fights with Yushin Okami, Georges St. Pierre, and Chael Sonnen. All fighters who have amazing wrestling skills — a possible weakness for “The Spider”. Although, Silva is undefeated in the UFC. You can’t beat that.

5. Cain Velasquez

Junior dos Santos is a scary guy.

6. Frankie Edgar

The UFC Lightweight Division is a crazy stacked division. Merging with the WEC has stepped everyone’s game since everyone is fighting for a spot in the UFC. If he’s able to keep the title against fighters like Gray Maynard, Anthony Pettis, Jim Miller, George Sotiropoulos, and now, Melvin Guillard — that’s a huge feat of it’s own.

7. Shogun Rua

He’s got a huge matchup against wrestling extraordinaire in Rashad Evans. But really, all I got to say is…Jon “Bones” Jones.
