yeh the GSP vs KOS fight was super frustrating to watch. I think Kos mentally lost before he even stepped in the cage. When GSP said "I will never fight him again after tonight" the look on Kos' face says it ALL. He choked man, he totally had the tools to win and being nervous in the first round got his eye ruined and that was that. I would love to see him vs Hardy, it'll be a great fight and an awesome trash talking battle. It just sucks that Kos will never get a title shot as long as GSP has it and he will forever be a middle tier guy.

Koscheck still has a chance to become a UFC Champion since GSP will be moving up to Middleweight. We’ll see a new UFC Welterweight Champion by the end of 2011.

5 Results for UFC 124: St. Pierre vs. Koscheck

At UFC 124, you saw why Georges St. Pierre is considered one of the pound-for-pound best MMA fighters in the world. Along with a great main event, it showed the return of Thiago Alves to vintage form and a scary Lightweight Contender in Jim Miller. It was fun night of fights and the Montreal fans were as crazy as ever. Here were the results from the event:

1. GSP completely dominated Koscheck with ease

The most amazing aspect of Georges St. Pierre’s game is that he’s able to completely take his opponents out of their comfort zone. We’ve seen it with his wrestling, kickboxing, and now against Josh Koscheck — his boxing. He literally kept Koscheck at bay with a stiff jab that landed consistently throughout the whole fight. It was truly a mixed martial arts fight where you saw everything, mostly coming from GSP.

People are going to criticize GSP for not finishing the fight, but come on — he completely dominated. I really thought Koscheck would have a chance against him, but after this fight — I don’t see anyone in the UFC Welterweight Division beating GSP.

(-1) Prediction: Josh Koscheck over Georges St. Pierre

2. Stefan Struve escapes a submission and lands a TKO

I really thought Stefan Struve was a huge mismatch against Sean McCorkle. Then in the beginning of the round, McCorkle was very close in ending the fight with a keylock — my jaw literally dropped thinking the fight was over. Luckily, Struve was calm enough to escape and reverse the position into his mount on McCorkle. From that point, the fight was over. Let’s see Struve fight a Top 10 Heavyweight.

(+1) Prediction: Stefan Struve over Sean McCorkle

So I'm not gonna lie, I thought Kos was going to have a chance at beating GSP, I really did. But after watching the fight I just felt bad for him, it seemed like he was super nervous i.e. tugging at his shorts ever three seconds. And once his eye welled up I thought it was done. You have to give the guy credit 25 minutes with the most dominant fighter in that division is no cake walk, and the fact that at no point was Kos close to being put away. I honestly think he choked and expected him to let his hands go more. Anyway, what do you think is next for Kos? GSP refuses to fight him again and I don't blame him.

Koscheck couldn’t get anything off, it was frustrating to watch — but amazing at the same time since GSP was able to do his magic. Anyways, I think Josh Koscheck vs. Dan Hardy would be a good match up.

well I wasn't surprised GSP won but I still have to commend you for the guts to predict a Kos win... you'll probably have rude people shoving it in your face for a while.

Haha, I’m already hearing it from my group of friends. That’s the price you pay sometimes. Look forward to my Koscheck prediction backlash. Can’t wait. :)
