For what it's worth I thought Kos deserves props for hanging in there for five rounds. People need to realize that his overly jackass (cleanest word I could think of) persona is merely a marketing strategy to hype up the fight/create good television.

Agreed. Would it have been the biggest North American gate, or a PPV draw if Koscheck didn’t do his antics? Probably not. I’m all for rooting for your fighter, and I encourage it — but let’s give these fighters respect for putting it all on the line in the fight game.

While I've always cheered against GSP in his recent previous fights, I think that he'll continue to do what he's always done. He just wins fights and he will do the same against Kos. Despite the fact that GSP couldn't submit Hardy with white belt level BJJ techniques, he has a lot of overall ability to win it out in other ways. While Kos is a great wrestler and has improved a lot in other areas of MMA, I think GSP will remain on top due to the fact that he's so skilled in other areas of the MMA game that he can survive whatever Kos will throw at him.

I agree. Overall, and on paper, GSP should beat Koscheck, but fights aren’t fought on paper and anything can happen. I’m still standing strong with my Koscheck KO.

Don’t blink. :)

i really like that you're predicting kos. although he got his ass kicked last time, i really thing he's improved a lot. in a lot of ways, i think it helped him to become a better fighter.
but hey, i'm biased 'cause i hate greaser st. pussy, oops! i mean gsp.
in all honesty, i am expecting gsp to win, but i have a crazy hope for kos, and all my want is for him to win. if he does, it'll be my happiest upset ever. i can already see all of montreal crying. ;)
if not, can't say i'm surprised.
either way, i know it'll be one hell of a fight.

Haha, never heard that acronym for GSP — must be the Hawaiian coming out. Anyways, it’s going to be a great night of fights tomorrow at UFC 124. I can’t wait.

I'm always nervous before a GSP fight cuz I have a fear he's going to lose. All my fears vanish after the first round as he shows his dominance and takes opponents down at will. I think you'll be thinking, "Why did I think Koscheck was going to win? I knew it was a stupid prediction." after round one.

perfectclassic

I wouldn’t call it stupid, more like bold. There’s a thousand reasons why GSP is going to win, I’m not naive in being blind to that. Although, there are several reasons why Koscheck wins tomorrow — I’m betting on that sliver of a chance, happily.

Enjoy the fights tomorrow, and be sure to keep the kleenex close when GSP loses. :)
